Associate Systems Designer | Grab Games
I joined Grab Games late in the development of the Mixed Reality update for Knockout League. My responsibilities included bug fixes and a redesign of the scoring system to better fit updated fight mechanics.
tHE nUMBERS gAME
Game Designer | Embodied Inc.
The Numbers Game is the opening mission in Moxie’s Sportsmanship series. I collaborated with therapists and child development experts to define the mission’s learning goals: helping children understand what it means to be a good sport and recognize examples of good and poor sportsmanship. To achieve this, I designed a playful number-guessing game where Moxie models both positive and negative behavior, then reflects on those actions with the user.
The Lightbar poem
Game Designer | Embodied Inc.
The Lightbar Poem is a module included in Moxie's first-time user experience. This module came up as a way to solve a common issue of children speaking over the robot. The lightbar serves as a visual indicator of Moxie's listening and speaking states. To teach this functionality to users, I designed a conversation through which Moxie recites a poem to explain how the lightbar works in a memorable way that could be revisited as needed.
User Researcher | USC Games
Plasticity is a cinematic platformer about a young girl named Noa, who explores and decides the future of her post-oil, plastic-ridden world. I served as one of three User Researchers for the project. My team and I conducted over 100 playtests throughout the course of our eight-month development schedule.
Prospero's Island
Game Developer | USC Senior Capstone
For my senior capstone at USC I adapted Shakespeare’s The Tempest as a fantasy RPG in the form of a mod for Neverwinter Nights 2. The project challenged me to balance player agency with a classic narrative, which I achieved by implementing a robust quest system where player choices shape the story’s outcome.
